Come and enjoy the gift of being together as a church family, sharing our gratitude, sadness, joy, & HOPE for all the blessings to come! 

  • Bring your favorite memories and stories!
  • Bring your feelings, questions, and anticipation!
  • Bring your potluck dish you love to share!
  • But most of all, bring yourself!

Saturday, June 1 from 3:30pm-7pm: 

IT’S A PARTY! 


Please join us in the church from 3:30-5pm for a joyful, and maybe tear-filled, special program as we gather to thank John and Susan and present some tokens of our appreciation! All are welcome to come and celebrate, enjoy music and laughter, and share a few words of thanks and memories. 


Then from 5-7pm, we will enjoy a meal together! Seating will be in our nearby Parish House and outdoors under a tent (weather permitting). At the meal, we will also have a table for a card shower for John and Susan.


Sunday, June 2 from 10am-1:30pm: 

A Service of Love and Gratitude for the Blessings of 

our Shared Ministry and Life Together


Please join us in the church for John and Susan’s final worship service at the Meriden Congregational Church at 10:00am. Immediately following, we will gather for a festive coffee hour in the Parish House, and a few last words and presentation of gifts

(outdoors, weather permitting).

Please note:

  • Parking around the church will be reserved for these events.
  • Some people have mentioned that they are planning to share their personal thanks with John and Susan. If you plan to do so, we hope that you will honor them at a time that is meaningful for you! We will have a table for cards and the like on June 1 and 2, if you would like to bring something at that time.
  • Don't forget to RSVP for June 1 and/or June 2 by emailing Jill Marshall at Jill@MeridenUCC.org. Jill can also answer your questions about these events.
